When searching for woodworking plans, you need to be somewhat skeptical. You can find a lot of so called "free plans" on the internet but what I've discovered over the years is these free plans are not all that accurate and most are poorly designed.

That's why these plans are free and are simply given away. In most cases, these "give away" sites will want you to purchase other woodworking box plans before they actually give you access to download the free plan.

I do not make my living by being called a professional woodworker, although I would consider myself to be very good when working with wood. The key to my success was to insure that I had the best woodworking box plans I could afford and to have a large variety of wood plans that I could build from.

To be truthful with you, it's not easy to become a skilled woodworker. It requires a lot of practice and patience as you work your way through different projects. Start out with some simple woodworking box plans and then progress to the next level when you’re satisfied with your work.

Pick out several more intermediate wood plans that are more difficult and practice on those. Finally, select a few more advanced woodworking plans from your collection and build these.
